Made to Be Worn. Cared for With Intention.
Jewelry becomes part of our lives—worn often, carried with us, and connected to moments we remember.
A little care can help preserve the beauty and finish of your Sunara jewelry for years to come.
DAILY CARE
Wear With Care
Jewelry naturally comes into contact with the elements of everyday life. To help maintain its finish:
Apply perfume, lotions, oils and cosmetics before putting on your jewelry.
Remove jewelry before showering, swimming or exercising.
Avoid prolonged contact with water, chlorine, salt water and household chemicals.
Take extra care during activities that may scratch, pull or damage your jewelry.
When you're finished wearing a piece, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth before storing.
GOLD VERMEIL
Preserve Its Glow
Gold vermeil is a layer of gold over sterling silver and should be treated with care to help preserve its finish.
Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishing compounds and harsh chemicals. Gently clean your vermeil jewelry with a soft, dry cloth and store it separately when not being worn.
Over time, the appearance of gold vermeil may naturally change with wear. How quickly this occurs can vary depending on wear, care and exposure to moisture, cosmetics and other substances.
STERLING SILVER
Caring for Silver
Sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time when exposed to air, moisture and everyday elements.
Gently wipe your jewelry after wearing and store it in a cool, dry place. When needed, use a soft cloth suitable for sterling silver to restore its shine.
Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, particularly when the piece also contains pearls or gemstones.
PEARLS, DIAMONDS & GEMSTONES
A Gentler Touch
Pearls and gemstones can vary in hardness and sensitivity, so gentle care is always best.
Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and prolonged exposure to water. Wipe pieces gently with a soft cloth after wearing and store them carefully to help prevent scratching or damage.
For pieces containing pearls or more delicate stones, avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaning unless you have confirmed that the method is appropriate for the specific material.
STORAGE
A Place of Its Own
How you store your jewelry matters.
Keep pieces clean, dry and separated when possible to minimize scratching, tangling and unnecessary contact between metals and stones.
Your Sunara packaging can provide a protected place for your jewelry when it isn't being worn.
A LASTING RELATIONSHIP
Jewelry is meant to be enjoyed, and signs of wear can naturally develop over time.
Thoughtful care can help preserve the finish, beauty and character of your Sunara pieces so they can continue to be part of your story.
